A private map, not a test

Intimacy and Exploration

Move at your pace. Skip anything. Curiosity is not consent, a limit is not a failure, and every answer can change.

Reflection before action

Turn a private map into better questions.

The Intimacy Explorer is an interactive reflection tool. It helps you notice what feels interesting, uncertain, welcome, or firmly outside your boundaries today. It is separate from our long-form guides: the Explorer helps you map your response; the guides give a subject more room for context, lived perspective, and continued learning.

Start with yourself

There is no result to perform.

You do not need experience, a label, or a partner to use the Explorer. Answer from your present point of view, skip anything you do not want to consider, and revisit your map when your knowledge or circumstances change. Interested, curious, and unsure are different kinds of information—not promises about what you will do.

If you share

A conversation aid is not consent.

A map can make it easier to ask, “What does this mean to you?” It cannot grant blanket permission, settle compatibility, or replace a specific conversation. Consent still belongs to a particular person, activity, moment, and setting; it remains ongoing and can be changed or withdrawn.

Keep learning

Follow the questions that surface.

Use the in-depth guides for experience-based perspectives that can prompt discussion. Browse the Kink Catalog when you want practical context around a specific interest, or visit the Lexicon when the first need is shared language. These resources support reflection; they do not decide what is right for you.

Self-awareness before labels

Build an interest map that belongs to you.

This guided exploration covers intimacy, communication, sensation, fantasy, power, boundaries, and aftercare. It does not diagnose you, assign an archetype, or calculate compatibility.

How to answer

Respond from where you are today. Interested and Curious describe attention or desire—not consent to any person, activity, time, or setting. Consent is specific, informed, ongoing, and can always be withdrawn.

Interested
I presently want or enjoy this.
Curious
I want to learn or consider it, but this is not yet a yes.
Unsure
I do not know enough or my feelings are mixed.
Soft limit
Not currently willing; I might revisit it only under clearly defined conditions.
Hard limit
A firm boundary: no, and not open to negotiation.
Not for me / Not applicable
I have no interest, or this does not apply to me, without necessarily naming it as a safety boundary.
